How the Co-op works

Collection day is Tuesday.      It is a pre-order-and-pay system.

We get delivered fresh fruit and vegetables which a great team of volunteers pack into tubs with 6 to 8 varieties of produce.

You can sign up, using either the Registration Form above  or by filling out a hard-copy Registration Form on our flier.

You can order more than one pack per week and you don’t need to commit to regular packs, just order when you want and pay for how many packs you want.

How to order

You must Register using the form above before you can order. Then to order deposit your $15 per pack each week:

By internet banking to BNZ 02 0528 0045960 02 by Tuesday 10pm the week before. When paying online please use the same first and last names that you used to Register in the Particulars and Code boxes. If you plan to collect from Maungaraki please put that in the 'Reference' box, otherwise put Waiwhetu.
For example:     PARTICULARS     Jane        CODE      Doe       REFERENCE  (Maungaraki or Waiwhetu).

Or if you are collecting from Waiwhetu, by cash payments by 2pm Thursday of the week before collection:
  • On Tuesdays at collection times as below.
  • At St Pauls Church Office Tuesday and Thursday between 10am-2pm

We only accept payments one week ahead.

Pick up your order from

St Paul’s Church - Waiwhetu, in the Lounge behind the Church Hall, (see the wiggly red line on one of the photos bellow).
Pick up time Tuesdays 11.30-12.30pm or 5.30-6.30pm.

OR from Maungaraki Baptist Church on Tuesdays  2.30-3.30 pm and 7-7.30 pm.

At Waiwhetu you must bring your own bag to carry your pack home as the tubs we sort the fruit & veges into stay at St Pauls.

At Maungaraki we use RETURNABLE BAGS. You must return your previously collected bags at each visit or you will not be able to collect more bags.
When you get your F&V home PLEASE empty your bags immediately, turn them inside out, give them a shake, turn them back the right way and make sure they are dry.

The co-op model is a partnership. We each have our part to play. Our part is packing and giving our time as volunteers; your part is paying and picking up your orders at the arranged times and bringing your returnable bags back at you next visit. Unfortunately if you do not collect your bags or arrange for a friend to collect them we are unable to store them. Orders are bought in advance so no refunds are available.

UNCOLLECTED PRODUCE will be given to local families in need and no credit or refund is available, so if you are unable to collect please arrange for a family member or friend to collect on your behalf.

Most weeks Waiwhetu will have surplus fruit and veges which we will have available for sale at cost, so bring some extra change with you if you think you might like to buy some extra.
