PRAYER
What is Prayer?

Prayer is a conversation - it's an exchange between you and God.

At times it will feel impossibly hard to do, especially if you haven't done it for a long time. But - like any relationship - the more time you invest in it the better it can be. God wants to spend time with you and your family. God wants to hear what's going on, how you're feeling, along with what's been going well and what's hard.

How can we pray?

The easiest way to pray is to say the Lord's Prayer. However, there are many other ways to pattern your prayer and you may find the following useful.
A - R - T - P (Arty-P)

Sometimes it helps to have a pattern for your prayer. Below are four headings to guide you through the process...

Adoration:  Praise God

Reparation: Remember what you've done wrong and say sorry

Thanksgiving: Tell God what you are thankful for

Petition: Ask God to help (the world, your family, friends, colleagues, people in your community ...)
